DEVELOPMENT / 01Build a hand-specific size system
Specify how the hand is measured and how those measurements relate to each size. Hand width, finger proportions, thumb position, and cuff fit can all influence the finished shape. Identify whether sizes are unisex or developed for a particular customer. Record measurement points with drawings so buyer and manufacturer assess the same features.
DEVELOPMENT / 02Make function part of the sample review
Review the glove during the activity it is intended for, using the relevant equipment and appropriate conditions. Check closure reach, finger movement, thumb shape, seam feel, and the transition between palm and cuff. Consolidate feedback from the intended wearer. If a functional or protective claim matters, define how it will be evaluated instead of relying on appearance.
DEVELOPMENT / 03Plan construction and consistent references
A small change in a seam or panel may affect the fit of the whole glove. Keep materials, pattern revision, stitching, closures, dimensions, and artwork connected in one current specification. Show the development team which parts are fixed and which can be discussed. Retain an approved physical sample so the production reference includes both shape and feel.
DEVELOPMENT / 04Create a coherent private-label range
Discuss a consistent identity across different glove types without forcing the same logo dimensions or placement onto every construction. Define size marks, left and right identification, care information, hang tags, and packing. If gloves are sold as pairs, specify pairing and assortment clearly; if sold individually, state which hand each variant represents.
DEVELOPMENT / 05Confirm order scope and evidence
Share quantities by glove type, size, colour, and hand. Confirm development, material availability, minimums, pricing, schedule, and inspection requirements with the quotation. Ask for documentation relevant to the actual product and destination where required. Reorders should reference the approved sample and list any changes in material or construction.
