DEVELOPMENT / 01Develop for the wearer and the game
Begin with the intended player, playing environment, and garment role. Explain the fit you want and which movements matter, including kneeling, reaching, and running. If you are replacing an existing product, identify what should match and what should improve. A marked reference garment and measured comments give the development discussion more direction than adjectives such as premium or professional.
DEVELOPMENT / 02Connect artwork to the panel layout
Treat graphics as part of the garment construction. Supply original artwork, note the intended dimensions, and show important elements that must not fall into seams or be hidden by equipment. Discuss how the design changes across sizes and how personal names or numbers are allocated. Approve a final layout for every relevant variant and keep the roster linked to the order.
DEVELOPMENT / 03Review a complete sample
Assess the garment with the intended base layers and equipment. Check coverage, movement, waist adjustment, pocket access, seam placement, and the position of decoration. Record measured differences and prioritize revisions. If a sample uses a temporary component, identify that exception before approval so it is not mistaken for the agreed production specification.
DEVELOPMENT / 04Define checking and product requirements
Agree on the dimensions, construction points, appearance, and functional details that should be inspected. A paintball category name or a photograph does not establish a protective rating. If your product has protective, competition, or destination-specific requirements, identify them at the enquiry stage and agree on the evidence needed for the actual finished item.
DEVELOPMENT / 05Plan the range and the reorder
Break the order into styles, colourways, sizes, and personalized versions. Confirm labels, individual packing, carton grouping, and destination. Retain the approved files and sample for the next order, noting any changes in fabric, trims, artwork, or quantities. Minimums, development charges, and schedules are confirmed against the project rather than assumed from a different range.
