DEVELOPMENT / 01Start with the discipline and wearer
Identify the martial art, training or other use, and the age or wearer groups. Explain the uniform convention or product direction you are following and supply relevant references. If the product is intended for an organized event or governing body, provide the actual requirements before development. A general category name cannot establish approval for a particular competition.
DEVELOPMENT / 02Specify the uniform as a complete system
For coordinated jackets and trousers, connect material, size naming, lengths, waist construction, closures, and decoration. Show how the pieces should fit together on the wearer. For fitted tops or shorts, identify stretch, coverage, seam positions, and the required silhouette. Every item should have its own construction and measurement reference.
DEVELOPMENT / 03Make reinforcement measurable
Identify the proposed high-attention seams and panels with drawings or marked photographs. Discuss reinforcement material, shape, seam construction, edge finish, and their relationship to movement. Keep the proposed construction linked to the approved sample. If a particular strength or performance requirement applies, define how it is to be assessed rather than assuming a fabric description proves it.
DEVELOPMENT / 04Review material, artwork, and fit in a sample
Evaluate the assembled product on the intended wearer, including movement, dimensions, garment overlap, waistband or closure, seams, and branding. Consider the care plan and any sample checks agreed for the product. Record differences between development materials and the proposed final specification, then consolidate revisions before approval.
DEVELOPMENT / 05Organize academy issue and wholesale supply
Provide quantities by product, size, colour, and artwork variant. Identify instructor, student, team, or retail versions and how they should be packed. Confirm required labels, product information, and destination. Development scope, minimums, price, schedule, and any product-specific evidence are agreed in the project proposal.
